The World Economic Forum 2016 is Now in Session

The WEF Has Serious Matters to Discuss This Year

If you happen to be looking for one of the world most-influential people this week, you should probably begin your search in Switzerland. The World Economic Forum (WEF) is having its annual winter meeting in Davos – a Ski resort located in the Swiss Alps. This event brings together around 2,500 of the top business leaders, intellectuals, journalists and political leaders on Earth. The 2016 World Economy Forum hosts, among many others, Alibaba’s Jack Ma,facebook, British Prime Minister David Cameron and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.
What are all of these prominent folks getting together for? Usually their intent is to discuss the most serious issues facing the world, and this year they have plenty to choose from. Political instability, economic slowdown, oil, financial inequality, the refugee crisis, rising interest rates and climate change are just some of the hot topics on the table. There will be public meetings, closed meetings and private meetings where corporations, agreements and large deals could be conceived.
